📘 What Study Hub By J is

Study Hub By J is a free study platform made for SLIIT students. It brings together lesson-wise quizzes, mock exams, reference sheets, revision resources and study tools — all organised by year, semester and module, so students can find what they need and prepare with confidence.

The goal is simple: make exam preparation easier, fairer and more accessible for every student, regardless of budget. Most of the platform is completely free to use.

💳 Why some resources are premium

A small part of the platform — such as full mock exam papers and certain advanced resources — is available through premium access at Rs. 300 for 6 months. We want to be completely transparent about why this exists.

This is not to make money. Running a platform like this has real, ongoing costs. The premium amount is kept deliberately small — the price of a single meal — and its only purpose is to help cover these running costs so the platform can survive and stay free for the majority of students.

Where the money actually goes:

In short: every rupee collected goes back into keeping Study Hub By J running and improving. It is not run for personal profit.

🔒 What information we collect

To give you access and a personalised study experience, we collect only what we genuinely need:

• Your name — so we can show it on your profile and the leaderboard
• Your email address — for signing in and account access
• Your SLIIT IT number — to identify your batch and show the right resources
• Your current year & semester — to show modules relevant to you
• Your WhatsApp number (optional) — only if you choose to give it, for exam reminders and new resource alerts
• Your quiz scores & activity — to track your progress, streaks and leaderboard rank

We do not collect your address, NIC, date of birth, or any sensitive personal information we don't need.

🛡️ How we use — and protect — your information

We take your privacy seriously. Here is our clear commitment:

• Your information is used only to run the platform and give you its features
• We use it to personalise your resources, track your progress, and send study-related updates

• We do not sell your information to anyone
• We do not share your details with third parties for marketing
• We do not use your data for any purpose outside Study Hub By J

Your data is stored securely and is only accessible to the platform administrator for the purpose of running and improving the service. We collect information only to power features you use — nothing more.

💵 Payments

Premium access is paid by bank transfer or a promo code. We keep a simple record of your payment (name, amount and reference) only to confirm and activate your premium access. We never see or store your full banking details or card numbers.

⚙️ Your choices

• You can update your profile details anytime from your account page
• You can hide yourself from the public leaderboard in your settings
• Giving your WhatsApp number is optional — the platform works without it
• You can request removal of your account and data by contacting us

By creating an account and using Study Hub By J, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described on this page. If you do not agree, please don't create an account. We may update this page as the platform grows; the "last updated" date above always shows the latest version.
